France's government survives two no-confidence votes over Mercosur deal

The French government on Wednesday survived two no-confidence votes filed by the hard left and far right parties, who accused it of not doing enough to stop the EU-Mercosur trade deal after its approval last week. French farmers say the deal threatens local ​agriculture by creating unfair competition with cheaper South American imports.
